Regional West Medical Center, a 180-bed regional referral and Level II Trauma Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, needed faster access to medical images and a more reliable disaster recovery process. Its existing NAS-and-tape archive made older studies slow and unpredictable to retrieve, created heavy IT overhead, and threatened PACS workflow and primary storage capacity.

To address this, Regional West Medical Center implemented Nexsan Assureon medical image archive. The solution gave users near-line access to archived images, with recall times dropping from hours to minutes, while also providing self-managing storage, built-in replication and failover, stronger data protection, and reduced IT burden.
