Corona-Norco Unified School District adds 800 surveillance cameras with Nexsan E60

The Corona-Norco Unified School District, the tenth largest school district in California, faced significant data storage challenges. With over 20,000 desktops to protect and dynamically growing data volumes, their existing Fibre Channel infrastructure was too costly and inefficient. The district needed a more cost-effective, dense, and power-efficient solution for its VMware environment and disaster recovery, while also preparing for a new mandate to deploy video surveillance cameras.

Nexsan implemented its E-Series E60 storage system to solve these challenges. The solution provided the high density, performance, and value the school district required, with AutoMAID technology delivering substantial energy savings. Nexsan's implementation was so successful that the district acquired three more E60 units to store video from 800 surveillance cameras and to back up an additional 50 terabytes nightly. The Nexsan storage provided a flexible, high-performance platform that met all of the district's primary and secondary storage needs in a cost-effective manner.
