UK Ministry of Defence - Customer Case Study

The UK Ministry of Defence, through the Centre for Defence Enterprise, needed a way to securely share information between trusted and less secure systems in fast-moving operational environments. Nexor helped address the challenge of enabling true coalition interoperability without the burden of rigid, dedicated equipment, using the Cross Domain TacSB® service bus and Nexor Guardian gateway.

Nexor worked with 2iC Limited and Dytecna to implement a compact cross-domain solution that centrally enforced sharing rules, inspected and validated data transfers, and allowed information exchange with no operator intervention. The result was a proof of concept that won the DSEI Innovation Award 2013, while reducing manpower overhead, shrinking equipment footprint and SWAP requirements, and lowering the need for additional high-assurance systems.
