UK Ministry of Defence - Customer Case Study

The UK Ministry of Defence, through the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), needed a more flexible and responsive deployable Communications and Information Systems (CIS) environment that could reduce configuration time, system complexity, and size, weight and power while supporting multiple security classifications. Nexor, working within the PANDORA concept demonstrator, helped address the need for secure, high-assurance information transfer across SECRET, NATO, and OFFICIAL domains.

Nexor implemented security enabling enhancements including bidirectional Chat and NFFI Tracks High Assurance Guards (HAGs) and a segregated browse down (SBD) capability. The solution enabled faster, more secure cross-domain collaboration, improved situational awareness, and a lighter desktop setup with a single terminal and cable instead of one per domain; five PANDORA nodes were delivered to the MOD for further experimentation.
