Case Study: UK Government Agency achieves tamper-proof evidence storage with Nexor Data Diode

A Nexor Case Study

UK Government Agency - Customer Case Study

UK Government Agency needed a secure evidence store for information handled in a RESTRICTED domain, where files and emails could be accessed and updated by multiple users but also needed to be preserved as tamper-proof evidence in a SECRET domain. Nexor was brought in to provide a solution that would ensure secure copies could not be accessed from outside the higher-security environment.

Nexor implemented a two-server setup, with one server in the RESTRICTED domain and one in the SECRET domain, connected by a data diode that only allowed information to flow one way into the SECRET domain. The solution was extended to handle both data files and email messages, and staff were trained to configure and use it. The result was seamless, business-as-usual transfer into the SECRET domain with strong assurance that the evidence could not be tampered with; the success at one site led the agency to buy and deploy additional Nexor solutions.
