Case Study: UK Government Agency achieves secure patch automation with Nexor

A Nexor Case Study

Preview of the UK Government Agency Case Study

UK Government Agency - Customer Case Study

The UK Government Agency needed a secure way to import software patches and system updates into a closed IL5 classified network with no internet or internal network connection. The challenge was to automate patching while preventing unauthorized data flow back out of the secure environment and avoiding risks such as denial of service. Nexor provided the solution, using its Proxy and Data Diode technology to support one-way transfer of update files.

Nexor implemented an upstream proxy to collect patches in a staging area, a Nexor Data Diode to guarantee one-way transmission, and a downstream proxy to deliver the files into the secure network. Built, configured, and tested off-site before deployment, the solution helped the UK Government Agency reduce data-loss risk, improve operational efficiency with timely updates, and lower maintenance and clean-up costs by removing manual update procedures.
