European Navy used Nexor’s Military Message Handling System (MMHS) to send and receive secure messages between ships and its shore-based command centre. As part of a wider modernization program, the Navy needed to migrate the existing Solaris-based system to a more widely supported Linux CentOS platform without changing how operators used it or causing disruption.

Nexor worked closely with the Navy and its systems integrator to port and refresh the MMHS components, including Nexor Mailer, Nexor P7 Messagestore and Messagestore Mailboxes, and Nexor Directory with DISP. The updated solution was thoroughly tested and rolled out in phases, keeping disruption to a minimum and ultimately deploying the modernized MMHS across 13 ships in the fleet.
