VESK Selects Nexenta to Deliver Storage Foundation for Range of Cloud Services

VESK is a London-based virtual desktop specialist that grew quickly from an IT support startup into a leading VDI and cloud services provider. As its customer base expanded, existing SANs (Dell MD3000i and EqualLogic) could not deliver the sustained IOPS, caching or network performance VESK needed, causing poor application responsiveness, rising administration overhead and limitations on scaling.

VESK implemented a NexentaStor High Availability SAN cluster (with SSD read/write caching, hybrid storage pools and JBOD redundancy) presenting NFS to Citrix XenServer and replicating hourly to multiple DR sites over 10Gb links. The solution delivered the required IOPS and sub-minute failover, simplified scaling by allowing clustered SAN expansion, and enabled reliable delivery of VDI plus new IaaS/PaaS/DaaS offerings—helping VESK support high‑performance databases, improve DR and achieve industry recognition from Citrix.
