Nordic Medtest is an independent test center in Värmland, Sweden, set up to help healthcare organizations develop, test and safely introduce new IT services. Facing stability and failover concerns with its existing SAN and a tight schedule driven by customer needs, the team required a secure, flexible, high-performance, open-source SAN solution with no vendor lock-in.
Layer 8 deployed NexentaStor on two Dell PowerEdge R720 servers with a Dell PowerVault MD3060e in a High Availability configuration, delivering enterprise features and scalability at a lower cost. The result was faster installation and simpler management, improved capacity, performance and resilience, and the freedom to avoid expensive proprietary upgrade paths.
