A Nexenta Case Study
Statigest is a French CRM software vendor founded in 1977 that supports more than 5,000 daily users across France, Belgium, Spain and Portugal. Running a mixed environment of Solaris, Windows and Linux across primary and backup sites, the company faced a fragmented NFS/CIFS storage landscape that limited production (only 16 concurrent SGBD instances), constrained capacity growth, and lacked snapshot and Active Directory integration.
Statigest deployed a NexentaStor HA cluster (16 TB usable at primary and mirrored 16 TB at backup, each pool built from SAS drives plus SSD ZIL/LOG) to provide ZFS-based hybrid pooling, multi-protocol access and replication. The solution delivered high availability with failover under one minute, greatly improved NFS write performance via SSDs, increased concurrent SGBD instances to 64, reduced the production task by more than two hours, and allowed fast capacity expansion and drive replacement without downtime.
