Arkadin Finds Peace of Mind with NexentaStor for Global Storage Requirements

Arkadin, a global SaaS collaboration provider with 53 offices worldwide, needed a more scalable, resilient storage platform to support its R&D datacenter of 500+ VMs and rapidly growing capacity demands (20%+ annually). Its existing mix of local ESXi and NFS storage was hard to maintain, R&D had no dedicated storage admins, and the company required a simple, cost-effective solution that could host all dev/test environments without performance or reliability compromises.

Arkadin deployed NexentaStor Enterprise with a High Availability cluster (64TB license, dual heads, 96GB RAM, multiple JBODs and SSD/SRAM tiers), remotely installed in two days and migrated 300 VMs with no performance drop. The new solution delivered ~60TB raw capacity with compression, seamless JBOD expansion, active failover to eliminate single points of failure, reduced storage administration to almost zero, and improved capacity, resiliency and scalability at a lower cost and without vendor lock-in.
