Architecten aan de Maas gains fast and scalable SoŌware-ĞĮned Storage environment with NexentaStor

Architecten aan de Maas is a 40-person architectural practice with offices in Maastricht and Rotterdam that was struggling with explosive data growth from large CAD and graphic files and a virtualized environment. Their six aging HP servers had reached capacity and could not deliver the read/write performance needed for ongoing projects, so the firm needed a more scalable, higher‑performance storage solution that would support continuity across two sites.

The practice implemented NexentaStor on four HP ProLiant servers, creating a 16TB raw, software-defined storage platform with high availability, tiered storage and features such as deduplication, snapshots and thin provisioning. The deployment delivered faster storage performance, seamless migration with minimal disruption, mirrored availability between locations and a flexible, cost-effective environment that can scale to meet projected growth.
