Marine Layer Goes All-In On Omnichannel

Marine Layer, the American-made apparel brand, needed to support customers who shop across both physical stores and digital channels while maintaining the in-store brand experience. To do that, it chose NewStore and its omnichannel retail platform to re-platform its direct-to-consumer business and better connect online and offline shopping.

With NewStore’s Omnichannel Platform, including POS, OMS, store inventory, and fulfillment capabilities, Marine Layer unified inventory and enabled store associates to support endless aisle and ship-from-store orders. The results included 15% of ecommerce orders shipped from stores, a 21% increase in sales from store fulfillment, and an 11% increase in store sales from endless aisle and mixed cart orders, along with nearly a 1.5x increase in UPT versus cash-and-carry transactions.
