Case Study: Net Neutrality achieves record-breaking mobilization — 1.3M+ calls and millions of emails/comments with New/Mode

A New/Mode Case Study

Preview of the Net Neutrality Case Study

Net Neutrality campaign floods congress with most phone calls ever

Net Neutrality faced a concerted effort by big cable and phone companies and an FCC leadership intent on rolling back open-Internet protections. To mobilize the public, campaigners working on the Net Neutrality issue used New/Mode’s tools — including One-Click Calling, Open Social, One-Click Email and Letters to the Editor — to drive coordinated outreach through platforms like BattleForTheNet and partners such as OpenMedia.

New/Mode powered large-scale targeted engagement that generated measurable results: 2,000,000+ comments to the FCC, 5,000,000+ emails, 1,300,000+ phone calls and 10,000+ letters to the editor. While the FCC vote still favored repeal, New/Mode’s campaign helped flip some Republicans, raised public awareness to 83% support for net neutrality, and grew the movement and voter base for the next phase of the fight.
