A New/Mode Case Study
Building Better Schools, a public campaign supported by the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario, mobilized parents, educators and students to oppose $1 billion in proposed cuts to public education. Their challenge was scaling outreach and turning passive supporters into active advocates; to do this they adopted New/Mode’s One-Click Email and One-Click Calling tools to make contacting MPPs and the Minister of Education simple and immediate.
New/Mode’s tools were embedded into NationBuilder landing pages via a tag snippet and styled with a custom theme, while complementary feedback and pledge pages amplified stories and signatures. The result: more than 90,800 emails to MPPs and the Premier (as of March 13, 2019), 200+ calls in 24 hours, viral growth on Twitter, and the protection of full-day learning for 4- and 5-year-olds—demonstrating New/Mode’s measurable impact on public pressure and rapid engagement.
