A Newline Interactive Case Study
Saint Joseph’s College, a higher education institution in the United States, wanted a better way to engage students and faculty in active and blended learning at the Keith and Kate Robinson Memorial Library. The college also needed a tool to support self-directed learning, including helping students record presentations for online education portfolios. Newline Interactive provided the TRUTOUCH 840 interactive display with IdeaMax software to meet these needs.
Newline Interactive’s TRUTOUCH display added internet access, annotation, printing, emailing, and real-time recording from a single touchscreen, supporting lectures, workshops, webinars, and student presentations. The library reported increased student interest and enthusiasm during sessions using the display, along with positive responses from both faculty and students to the more interactive learning format. The solution also helped students easily record projects and presentations, moving the library closer to its goal of encouraging self-directed learning.
