Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the largest sheriff’s office in Texas, needed to replace antiquated whiteboards with a rugged, easy-to-use interactive display system for mobile command operations. Vendor Newline Interactive provided the TRUTOUCH series with IdeaMax software to support annotation, mapping, and collaboration in the field.

Newline Interactive deployed multiple 65" TRUTOUCH interactive displays for the Sheriff’s Office’s Mobile Command Center, enabling internet access, printing, emailing, video conferencing, and on-screen annotation from a single device. The solution made training and incident response more simple and intuitive, and helped HCSO earn the 2015 Nat’l Technology Leadership Award from APCO for its mobile command technology upgrade.
