Switchee manages 100+ housing providers with Newicon

Newicon partnered with Switchee, a provider of smart thermostats for housing associations, to address the challenge of building a robust backend system for their IoT devices. The project required developing a secure cloud platform and API capable of managing a large fleet of devices, performing over-the-air updates, handling network failures, and processing real-time sensor data for property monitoring.

The solution developed by Newicon included a custom communication API, a device management portal, and protocols for seamless device registration and SIM-based connectivity. This enabled Switchee to confidently roll out its solution, providing housing associations with a cost-effective and technologically advanced system for easy device management, monitoring, and updating.
