Falcon Foodservice Equipment worked with NewFound Energy to assess opportunities for energy efficiency improvements across the lighting at its factory in Stirling. The site quality assessor wanted to understand current electricity consumption and identify where savings could be made, using NewFound Energy’s Profile Portable Energy Monitor for weeklong surveys across seven lighting areas.

NewFound Energy installed the Profile Portable Energy Monitor on each circuit in turn and used ProPower 2 software to analyse and chart the results. The study found that emergency lighting was running continuously and alone accounted for 25.38% of total lighting energy use, leading to recommendations that could save around £2,687 per year. Additional actions such as completing LED rollouts and programming the light control panel were estimated to save a further £1,773 and £789 annually, producing total potential annual savings of over £5,200.
