AtlasEVO worked with NewFound Energy to support H J Heinz’s Kitt Green plant in Wigan, where electrical loads were sometimes approaching transformer limits. The site needed continuous, precise visibility into energy use across a large and complex operation to avoid supply problems and maintain production.

NewFound Energy implemented the ATLAS energy monitoring system to track load and period-by-period energy usage across transformers and major site services, with data loggers installed around the plant. This gave the team instant visibility from their office, helped identify savings opportunities, and supported efficiency improvements such as variable speed drives. The site also reported measurable environmental gains, including a 5% reduction in direct CO2 emissions in FY2006 and around a 13% reduction over three years.
