Case Study: BDP achieves BIM Level 2 certification with Newforma Project Center

BDP is an international design and engineering practice headquartered in London with about 900 staff, delivering architecture, engineering, urban design and related services worldwide. Facing the UK government requirement that public projects be delivered to BIM Level 2 by 2016, BDP needed a way to manage BIM execution plans, common data environments and model data across complex, multi‑discipline projects.

BDP implemented Newforma Project Center to manage BIM Level 2 project execution plans with Action Items and to deploy Common Data Environments using Newforma Shared Folders, Document Control and Info Exchange web access, keeping model data alongside other project information. As a result, in November 2014 BDP became the first company to achieve BRE BIM Level 2 certification (Certificate BRE00001), demonstrating compliance with the government standard.
