SWR, the German public broadcaster, wanted to make its news production workflow faster and more agile as it shifted toward a cloud-based digital media house. Working with vendor Newbridge, SWR needed better ways to manage live feeds, reduce bottlenecks, and give journalists easier access to content without being tied to the office.

Newbridge implemented Moments Lab Live Asset Manager as an extension to SWR’s existing workflow, using AI-powered cloud media hub capabilities to ingest LiveU feeds and apply multimodal indexing such as face recognition, OCR, and speech-to-text. This gave teams real-time access to searchable content from anywhere, helping reporters quickly derush interviews and publish highlights faster; the case study also notes 60 LiveU units and 500 LU-Smart licenses in use, though it does not provide a quantified performance improvement.
