Ticket.se reduces database costs by one-third with TO THE NEW

Ticket.se, a leading private travel agency in the Nordics, faced challenges with its 15-year-old legacy systems that hindered growth. Their complex architecture and bulky source code needed modernization to improve performance and reduce costs. TO THE NEW was engaged to migrate their systems to the AWS cloud.

TO THE NEW executed an end-to-end AWS migration, replacing monolithic applications with Java-based microservices and implementing Kubernetes for container management. They migrated the AS400 database to Amazon RDS and implemented a new one-page application architecture. This modernization by TO THE NEW significantly reduced operational and maintenance costs, including a one-third reduction in database costs, and achieved better operational efficiency through real-time channel synchronization.
