A New Signature Case Study
The Center for American Progress (CAP), a Washington, DC-based think tank with more than 400 staff, needed a better way to support secure email, document collaboration, and unified communications. Its aging on-premises Exchange environment was costly and difficult to maintain, with external consultant fees running about $5,000–$10,000 per month, plus significant internal IT effort. New Signature helped CAP evaluate its options, including cloud alternatives such as Microsoft Office 365.
New Signature guided CAP through a nine-month business case, migration plan, and move to Microsoft Office 365. By leveraging CAP’s internal team for user engagement and focusing consultant effort where needed most, the project stayed on time and on budget. The result was a smooth migration, improved productivity, stronger Help Desk support, and the ability to redirect funds from email/server maintenance to hiring more network administrators and deploying tools like Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
