A New Signature Case Study
HarperCollins, the global publishing company and part of News Corporation Group, needed additional data centre capacity as it prepared to move its UK headquarters and also wanted to shift toward public cloud services to reduce operating costs and improve flexibility. New Signature supported this transition with Microsoft Azure cloud migrations, helping HarperCollins identify workloads suitable for migration and plan its move to the cloud.
New Signature used its App Factory methodology to run proof of concepts, pilot key applications and services in Azure, and build the base architecture for networking, user directory services, and core workloads such as the paper, print, and bind ordering application. As a result, HarperCollins established a production-ready foundation for Azure and began moving key applications into the cloud, with the goal of making Azure the primary hosting environment for some services.
