DSGi make PC buyers happier with quicker boot times and faster access to apps

DSG International, one of Europe’s leading specialist electrical retailers, wanted to improve the out-of-box experience for its new PCs by reducing clutter, speeding up startup times, and making it easier for customers to find and install bundled software. New Signature worked with DSGi and Microsoft on a solution built with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) to create a faster, more intuitive, and visually appealing application for new PC users.

New Signature and its design partner delivered “Launch,” an application that helps customers easily categorize, install, and open bundled apps on new PCs while creating upselling opportunities. The result was a quick-loading, user-friendly experience that improved the setup process and was rolled out across some 2 million PCs in the UK, delivering measurable scale and impact for DSG International.
