New Signature helped the Sheet Metal Air Rail and Transportation Association (SMART) replace its 25-year-old phone system. SMART wanted to know whether Skype for Business could serve as a full-time phone system while also adding instant messaging and video capabilities, and it was already working with New Signature on its Office 365 implementation.

New Signature implemented Skype for Business as SMART’s unified communications and PBX phone system, adding presence, IM, web and video conferencing, and mobile access. The result was a more connected workforce across two office locations and remote staff, improved call quality, and easier communication without handsets; SMART also reduced dependence on third-party services like GoToMeeting, WebEx, and AT&T.
