Temba launches real-time bodycam streaming in 2+ years with New Normal

Temba, a real-time streaming bodycam platform for law enforcement, faced the challenge of increasing public trust by moving beyond offline body cameras whose footage could not be viewed until days after an event. NewNormal was engaged to develop a solution to enable real-time video streaming for police, fire, and EMT departments.

NewNormal built an open and extensible Android-based platform, creating a prototype for a successful field demonstration with Nevada police departments. The solution was then installed into actual body cameras, allowing departments to stream video and location in real-time to a web-based dashboard. This successful implementation led to ongoing software updates as Temba continues to innovate within Nevada's first responder departments.
