A New Media Campaigns Case Study
The International Women’s Media Foundation, a nonprofit empowering female journalists, faced the challenge of promoting its annual Courage in Journalism Awards event after it shifted to a virtual format due to COVID-19. They needed a supplementary web presence to generate excitement, introduce the award recipients, and drive registrations. They engaged their existing vendor, New Media Campaigns, to design and develop a dedicated microsite for this purpose.
New Media Campaigns created a bold, visually striking WordPress microsite with a high-contrast design to honor the awardees. The solution incorporated prominent calls-to-action to drive event registrations and featured a flexible, easy-to-manage CMS that allowed the customer to update content. The microsite successfully served its purpose for the virtual event and was later refreshed for the following year, providing a long-term digital hub for the awards. The vendor's work enabled the foundation to effectively publicize the event and then repurpose the site to host post-event videos, extending its value.
