A New Boundary Case Study
The Nienburg Department of Public Roads (NDPR) manages traffic planning, maintenance and IT for a two‑county area, supporting about 100 users across a home office and five highway maintenance depots with roughly 170 different applications and 15 servers. Because software installation and updates were done manually, administrators regularly traveled to remote sites to deploy and maintain applications, consuming significant staff time and travel expense.
After evaluating several vendors, NDPR selected Prism Deploy® (distributed in Germany by OPTIMAL) for its automation, reliability and fine‑grained control (remote registry edits, proxy/home‑page settings, virus queries, etc.). Automating deployment eliminated most site visits, reduced travel costs, freed staff time for other work, and improved the consistency and security of software updates.
