Moeller Building Automation - Customer Case Study

Moeller Building Automation, a unit of the Moeller Group with 3,000 employees and €262M in sales, supplies low-voltage electrical distribution, building automation and data network products from its HQ in Schrems, Austria, with seven Austrian branches and a manufacturing plant in Romania. Its IT environment included about 500 client PCs across nine sites, and the team relied on time-consuming onsite visits and manual processes to deploy applications, patches and updates—creating a heavy travel burden for the principal IT administrator and making automation essential as the company standardized client software and migrated to Windows servers.

Moeller selected Prism Deploy from New Boundary Technologies (distributed locally by OPTIMAL System-Beratung) and uses the Prism Editor to build reliable deployment packages and the Prism Console for hardware and software inventory. Packages are delivered over LAN/WAN and verified via registry checks, enabling installs in roughly two minutes per PC. The automated solution let the administrator perform nearly all software distribution from his desk, sharply reducing travel, saving time and resources, and improving deployment speed and accuracy across the enterprise.
