Brookdale Senior Living, the largest owner and operator of senior living communities in the U.S. (647 communities, ~67,000 residents), faced a rapid expansion of its PC estate — from about 5,500 PCs in 2007 to more than 8,500 by 2012. That growth created a need for scalable, centralized tools to inventory and integrate newly acquired PCs, minimize downtime and manual work, and maintain consistent configurations across widely dispersed sites.

Brookdale deployed New Boundary Technologies’ Prism Suite — using Prism Asset Manager for inventory, Prism Deploy for software rollouts and configuration, and Prism Patch Manager for OS and third‑party patching — plus Smart Update configuration groups and a web‑proxy client for roaming laptops. The automated grouping, deployment and patching cut integration time, eliminated tedious manual tasks, kept all 8,500+ PCs updated and secure, and freed IT staff to focus on strategic projects.
