Paul McCartney reduces emissions 85% with NEVERBLAND

The customer, Paul McCartney, and his team at MPL faced a challenge with a large, siloed archive of content on an outdated Drupal 7 site that was difficult to manage and explore. The website was unsustainable and lacked flexibility for future use. NEVERBLAND was tasked with creating a new digital identity that was dignified yet modern and built for the long term.

NEVERBLAND implemented a solution using the headless CMS Hygraph (formerly GraphCMS) and a Next.js front end hosted on Vercel. They created a bespoke design system, including a custom typeface from Paul's handwriting, and restructured the content into an explorable narrative with an automated timeline. The results included the successful migration of 3,901 content items, an 85% reduction in estimated carbon emissions per visit, an ongoing four-year partnership, and industry recognition from Awwwards and others.
