A Nevatech Sentinet Case Study
The City of Stockholm, a government organization in Sweden with about 40,000 employees, needed to modernize and govern its mission-critical SOA and e-services platform. After moving to an outsourced IT model with Volvo IT, the city required design-time governance and run-time operational management for reusable services and APIs, especially as its legacy Microsoft Managed Service Engine (MSE) approach was reaching end of life. Nevatech Sentinet was selected to replace MSE and support the city’s growing digital services.
Nevatech Sentinet provided a centralized repository, stronger security and access control, monitoring, and support for SOAP, REST, and REST-to-SOAP mediation. With Sentinet, the City of Stockholm and Volvo IT migrated a major part of their virtual services within a few weeks, improving visibility, governance, and agility across their e-services architecture. The result was a more manageable, reusable, and secure platform that helped improve delivery efficiency and return on investment.
