Bangladesh Voter Registration Duplicate Search System Implemented by the Bangladesh Army and Dohatec Based on MegaMatcher Technology

The Bangladesh Army, working on behalf of the nation's Election Commission, faced the monumental challenge of identifying and removing duplicate registrations from a newly created biometric voter database containing over 80 million records. To ensure the administration of fair elections, they required a highly accurate and scalable multi-biometric solution to cleanse this massive dataset. They selected Neurotechnology's MegaMatcher multi-biometric fingerprint and facial recognition technology as the core identification engine for this critical task.

The solution, implemented in partnership with integrator Dohatec, utilized Neurotechnology's MegaMatcher SDK to power the Dohatec Biometrics Fusion Server. This system rapidly generated fused face and fingerprint templates and performed an N-to-N matching process across the entire database. The implementation was highly successful, with the Bangladesh Army reporting that MegaMatcher identified more valid duplicate entries than any other system tested. The solution was also praised for its high accuracy, speed, cost-effectiveness, and low hardware requirements, ensuring the creation of a clean and reliable voter roll for the country.
