APQC, a member-based nonprofit and global leader in benchmarking and best-practice research, faced an outdated, homegrown web-services system as it upgraded its corporate website to Drupal. The lack of integration between the site and back-end systems (including Microsoft Dynamics CRM) left business units without consistent customer visibility and prevented the delivery of personalized, trackable visitor experiences.
APQC implemented Neuron ESB, a .NET-friendly enterprise service bus offering REST-to-SOAP translation, a topic-based publish/subscribe model, built-in CRM connectors and event-based SharePoint integration. The ESB delivered detailed visitor activity tracking, seamless CRM integration and richer customer experiences, while accelerating delivery (completed in less than half the expected time), reducing developer needs and saving the company hundreds of thousands of dollars.
