Xerox wanted to extend its PrePass.com platform to create an automated gate control access management system for commercial vehicle yards. Their challenge was to develop a secure, globally accessible system that would allow drivers to use existing PrePass transponders for entry and exit. To tackle this, they again partnered with vendor Neudesic, leveraging their Neuron·ESB technology.

Neudesic developed the PrePass Gates solution, a secure system built using Microsoft technologies like WCF and Sync Framework. This provided a centralized, cloud-based management portal integrated with PrePass.com, eliminating manual gate staffing and enabling asset tracking and detailed reporting. The result leveraged the existing PrePass network, which facilitates millions of transactions monthly, to offer a cost-effective access control system that improved operational efficiency and terminal security for Xerox's clients.
