A Neubrain Case Study
Neubrain partnered with the Los Angeles County Community Development Commission (CDC), a government housing authority managing a $494M budget (FY2010–11), 5,306 active projects, 179 departments, 210 funds and 800 employees. The CDC relied on slow, manual budgeting, forecasting and cost-allocation processes that took months per cycle, were error-prone, required full reprocessing after changes, and could not support mandated HUD cost-allocation methods or the required data granularity.
Neubrain implemented a budgeting and business-analytics system tightly integrated with the CDC’s PeopleSoft financials to create a single version of truth. The solution reduced operating and capital budgeting cycles from months to days, automated complex cost allocations (enabling 1,000+ HUD-compliant scenarios), improved accuracy and productivity, and gave decision-makers immediate, trusted insight for trend analysis, planning and regulatory compliance.
