A NetX Case Study
Mercy Corps International, a global humanitarian organization based in Portland, needed a better way to manage and present the large, time-sensitive collection of images and videos documenting its relief efforts — a need made clear after the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. With thousands of assets arriving from the field and partners, the organization required fast search and retrieval, streamlined workflows, and the ability to display up-to-date visual stories in the lobby of its new headquarters.
Mercy Corps implemented NetXposure’s Digital Asset Management system together with the Public Display CMS to centrally organize 50,000+ assets and remotely syndicate image slideshows and video to lobby monitors via a lightweight Adobe AIR client. The solution enabled web-based programming and real-time updates of presentations, improved collaboration and metadata-driven search, and delivered more effective, time-sensitive storytelling while reducing management overhead and costs.
