A NetX Case Study
Healthdirect Australia is a government‑funded national health advice service that needed to produce and manage large volumes of documents, images and videos for multiple websites and devices. While the team wanted the efficiency of a cloud‑based workflow, strict Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) rules prohibited direct publishing to cloud production and the existing processes didn’t support remote publishing, so they required a secure, automated way to manage and push media without a prior DAM.
They adopted NetX for its sync capabilities and APIs: automated tasks generate and transcode image variants, place derivatives in a staged S3 environment, then a journaling system replicates approved changes to a production NetX instance that feeds the CDN (with cache invalidation on updates). The rollout completed in nine two‑week sprints, enabling faster releases with fewer rollbacks; NetX now generates assets for five sites and a mobile app via ~92 auto tasks, supports continuous delivery, and gives the team a scalable, compliant workflow with improved user experience.
