FXCM Inc., a leading online forex, CFD and spread‑betting provider serving more than 185,000 customer accounts, faced the challenge of protecting sensitive financial data while meeting strict regulatory requirements (SOX, Dodd‑Frank, CFTC, NFA, FCA, ASIC). With rising cyber threats and an IT estate of hundreds of servers and about 900 users, FXCM needed continuous visibility and audit‑ready evidence to prove compliance and prevent unauthorized access.

FXCM deployed Netwrix Auditor across Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server and file servers to track who changed what, when and who has access to sensitive folders. The solution automated compliance reporting, reduced workload and costs, improved detection of insider or malicious activity, and delivered continuous control over privileged accounts and data access.
