Currumbin Minerals cuts on-site crime by 100% with Network Optix

The customer, Currumbin Minerals, needed to secure its new heavy mineral sand processing plant from frequent vandalism and theft. A key challenge was enabling communication between this and other distant plant sites without using unreliable wireless links. They sought a solution from vendor Network Optix and its video management system, Nx Witness VMS.

Network Optix, with partners VSP and JB Security, implemented a solution using Nx Witness VMS and Axis cameras. The system leveraged Nx Cloud to connect the remote sites and provided operators with advanced monitoring and alerting tools. Following implementation, on-site crimes at the plant decreased by 100%, fully eliminating the reported incidents.
