Cambodian Seaport automates container tracking across 120,000 TEUs with Network Optix

The customer, Cambodian Seaport, one of Cambodia's largest deep-sea ports, faced challenges in modernizing its container terminal operations to handle rapid growth. The port needed to automate the capture of container information, track movements, and synchronize data with its Terminal Operating System. Vendor Network Optix, along with partner Vaxtor, provided a solution using the Nx Witness VMS integrated with Vaxtor's ALPR and OCR analytics.

Network Optix's solution utilized Nx Witness VMS to capture video, while Vaxtor's integrated software identified license plates and container IDs. This allowed automatic data collection for the operating system and enabled operators to instantly search archived video using metadata. The implementation enhanced situational awareness and operational efficiency at the terminal, which handles an annual throughput of 120,000 TEUs.
