A NetSupport Case Study
Cotham School, one of the largest secondary schools in Bristol, needed a reliable way to keep students focused, limit access to inappropriate websites and applications, and monitor activity across busy IT suites. With students using PCs, Macs, and increasingly Chromebooks, the school also wanted a tool that could support teaching, eSafety, and day-to-day classroom control. NetSupport School, along with NetSupport Assist and NetSupport Notify, helped address these challenges.
NetSupport implemented a joined-up solution that lets teachers lock or blank screens, restrict applications and websites, and monitor all student desktops at once, while technicians can remotely manage Macs from Windows PCs. NetSupport Notify also provides instant emergency alerts to staff, including during lockdowns or internet outages. The result has been a simpler, more reliable setup that replaced several separate tools, improved classroom focus, reduced helpdesk interruptions, and received positive feedback for being straightforward and easy to use.
