Nonprofit Foundation Center Able to Share Global Philanthropy Data More Effectively with NetSuite

Foundation Center, a New York–based nonprofit and leading source of global philanthropy information, was constrained by siloed packaged and custom applications that produced inconsistent numbers, high IT and administrative costs, and heavy manual reconciliation. To modernize its IT, Foundation Center chose NetSuite OpenAir and implemented NetSuite Financials, NetSuite CRM, NetSuite Financial Planning, NetSuite Site Builder, NetSuite Order Processing and SuiteCommerce to replace systems such as ATG Dynamo, Macola, Microsoft Access/Excel and custom budgeting tools.

NetSuite OpenAir’s unified cloud solution consolidated donor management, budgeting and forecasting, and integrated Foundation Directory Online subscriptions into the marketplace, improving coordination across 480 information partners in 13 countries. The deployment increased transparency and operational efficiency and is expected to save up to $1 million in IT infrastructure, personnel and licensing costs over five years, allowing Foundation Center to devote more resources to its mission.
