Siemens PLM Professional Services Division was struggling with 15 disparate professional services applications (including SAP, Salesforce.com, eRealm and Siemens' PLM software), which wasted time and money, reduced visibility into global and regional resource utilization, and made extending SAP impractical. To address these challenges, Siemens deployed NetSuite OpenAir.

NetSuite OpenAir was implemented through employee workshops and a phased nine-month rollout—starting with resource management, then time capture—across Benelux, the Americas, Europe and Asia South Pacific. The NetSuite OpenAir deployment automated processes for more than 3,000 projects in over 15 countries, provided visibility into 2,700 resources with 1,500 skillsets, enabled global resource utilization and revenue forecasting, and streamlined multi-currency financial reporting.
