DaySpring, the Hallmark-owned global provider of Christian greeting cards, stationery and gifts, faced a scaling challenge: managing forecasts for over 300,000 product-customer combinations (about 7,000 active products) using complex Excel spreadsheets across sales, operations and finance. To address this, DaySpring invested in Netstock’s integrated planning/S&OP technology to replace spreadsheets and centralize forecasting, inventory optimization and sales & operations planning.
Netstock implemented a phased two-year rollout (starting with boxed cards) with training and integration support, after which DaySpring’s teams completed the remaining global product families. The Netstock solution helped DaySpring cut boxed-cards inventory by about 65% (from ~2 million units to 700,000), maintain over a 98% fill rate, and streamline forecasting so only two full-time planners now manage the 300,000 product-customer forecasts.
