Cut-n-Weld improves inventory KPIs with Netstock Professional Services

Cut-n-Weld is a South African importer and distributor of cutting and welding consumables and equipment that was struggling with fragmented forecasting, time-consuming monthly reviews and poor fill rates while running Cin7 Core. After signing up with Netstock in October 2020, Cut-n-Weld engaged Netstock Professional Services in February 2023 to better use the platform, align processes and address forecasting and stock-holding challenges.

Netstock’s Professional Services ran a five-month engagement to standardize forecasts, calculate supplier lead times and safety stock, and streamline ordering. The work cut bad inventory by over R1 million, shortened forecast time from days to hours, improved fill rate from 77.7% to 86.6% (a 9% increase), and materially reduced stock-outs (reported as 39% in one section and 89% in another), while strengthening supplier relationships and unlocking capital — all driven by Netstock.
