Bidvest Waltons, a South African office supplies and stationery business using Microsoft Dynamics AX, faced inventory planning challenges managing in excess of 30,000 SKUs with limited data visibility, no item classification and no central dashboard to highlight critical issues. Seeking a purpose-built demand planning solution, Bidvest Waltons implemented Netstock to complement their ERP and improve inventory decision-making.

Netstock was integrated with MS Dynamics AX and delivered a central dashboard, item classification, forecasting and clear order recommendations that made causes and actions transparent to users. As a result, Bidvest Waltons gained end-to-end visibility across 30,000+ SKUs, could prioritize and prevent potential stock-outs, forecast more accurately and quickly right-size inventory after COVID disruptions; the tool rolled out from the distribution center in 2018 and is now being extended to retail outlets.
