Hudl Teams Up with NetSPI to Validate their Offensive Security Program

Hudl, a performance-analysis platform used by more than 200,000 teams worldwide, needed a partner to help build and validate a long-term offensive security program as it expanded and faced evolving threats. Hudl’s VP and CISO, Rob LaMagna-Reiter, engaged NetSPI for their offensive security expertise—primarily leveraging NetSPI’s Penetration Testing as a Service—to ensure robust data protection for coaches, athletes, and other users.

NetSPI delivered relationship-driven penetration testing engagements that combined technical findings with hands-on developer education and validation exercises. As a result, Hudl saw measurable benefits: developer teams saved “easily single digits” of hours per week on education, released code with fewer defects, and validated that security improvements “moved the needle,” strengthening Hudl’s secure-code program and overall risk posture under NetSPI’s guidance.
